Hey There!

I'm so glad you stopped by!  My name is Leigh Anne and I am one half of Half Pint Photography.  I don't want to bore you with a ton of useless details, but I did think it might be nice to help you get to know me a little and put a face with a name.  So here are a few fun facts about me.

  1. As I stated, I am one HALF of Half Pint Photography.  My husband David is the other half, but he's a (relatively) silent partner.

  2. I spent 6 years in the United States Air Force- stationed RIGHT HERE in Maryland.

  3. My husband and I have been married for almost 16 years!  We met in military training school in Arizona and got married only 6 months later.  Most of the time we were dating, we were in separate states.  On May 1, 2019, we will celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary.

  4. We have one son, Connor who is 7.  Connor is so very smart-almost too smart for his own good.  He keeps us on our toes, and I am currently trying to teach myself how to code Minecraft and Roblox so I can teach him how to build his own game worlds.

  5. We started Half Pint Photography in 2014, and since then, I (LA) have been the one primarily running things.  The hubby second-shoots for me occasionally, during weddings, but otherwise, I am the one you will always interact with.

  6. Photography is only a part-time gig for me right now.  To pay the bills, my day job is as a Software Integration Engineer/Systems Engineer.  I know these titles may sound impressive, but let me assure you - THEY ARE NOT!  They're just fancy words that mean I install software on computers and then make those computers (or other software) all work together.  Doesn't sound so glamorous now, does it?

  7. My friends call me Queen of Multitasking.  But really, I just need to be busy.  I don't sit still very well (or wait very well), so I find things to keep me busy.

  8. I have an irrational fear of crickets.  Yes, you read that right - crickets.  They're creepy and they jump, and I don't like them.  Especially those big suckers we have around here!

  9. As a general rule, I am a very informal person.  I don't like formalities - they make people uncomfortable.  So, I am content to be relaxed and just go with things.  You should NEVER feel intimidated around me, and if you do, then there's a problem.

  10. Along with the last one, I should also point out that while I can be relaxed and informal, I can also be extremely rigid and stick to a schedule (down to the minute!).  This flexibility is what makes me the perfect portrait and event photographer - In portrait settings, being relaxed and natural is key.  But during weddings, sometimes you just have to be more firm, keeping things moving along.
